The slitting knife is one of the important components of slitting machine equipment. Improper selection of slitting machine blades can easily lead to a shortened service life of the slitting blades, failure to meet the slitting index requirements, and the production of burrs and a large amount of slitting powder chips in the slitting material.
There are three common cutting techniques:
1. Edge cutting: Multiple materials are combined to form process edges, and the reserved process edges are cut to obtain products that meet the process requirements. This cutting method is commonly used for the processing of composite films and other materials.
2. Roll cutting: The entire wide coil is cut into multiple narrow specification coils by a high-speed rotating circular knife. This cutting method is commonly used in the adhesive products industry.
3. Splitting: Cut large roll diameter materials into multiple rolls and small roll diameter materials according to the requirements of the winding length and width specifications. This cutting method is commonly used in the film substrate and flexible packaging color printing industry.
