Wear resistance: In printing, the doctor blade frequently comes into contact and rubs against the printing plate, requiring good wear resistance to extend its service life, reduce replacement frequency, and improve production efficiency. In gravure printing, the surface of the electro engraved plate roller is coated with a high hardness chromium layer, and the hardness of the scraper is usually around 580HV, which not only does not damage the plate roller, but also ensures its own wear resistance.
Elasticity: The surface of the plate roller is not absolutely flat, and during high-speed operation, the scraper blade needs to constantly bounce. Good elasticity can quickly restore the scraper to its original position, ensuring uniform and consistent ink scraping effect for each pattern. A scraper lacking elasticity can easily affect the clarity of patterns and the uniformity of ink layers.
Scratching effect: The fundamental task of a doctor blade is to scrape off excess ink from the surface of the printing plate. The high-quality ink scraper blade is designed reasonably, which can tightly fit the printing plate, effectively scrape off ink, and leave no blade threads or ink marks, ensuring the clarity and beauty of printed products.
Hardness: The hardness should be moderate. If it is too hard, it is easy to wear the printing plate and produce scratches; Too soft to scrape off the ink. The hardness of a general ink scraper is about 500-600 Vickers hardness, and there are differences in hardness requirements for different printing scenarios.
