Functions of leveling rollers
Leveling rollers apply alternating bending forces to metal sheets, causing plastic stretching on the surface layer and plastic compression in the core layer. This eliminates waves, warping, and residual stress, achieving high-precision leveling. In multi-roller leveling machines, sheets undergo multiple reverse bends (S-shaped path), with each bend redistributing internal stresses, gradually improving flatness.

Types and structures of leveling rollers
Leveling rollers are typically divided into working rollers and support rollers:
Working rollers: Directly contact the sheet and are responsible for applying bending forces. They are mostly made of alloy steel (such as 60CrMoV), quenched and tempered on the surface, with hardness reaching HRC58-62, offering high wear resistance.

Support rollers: Used to support the working rollers and ensure the gap precision between rollers. They are often made of 40Cr steel, with adjustable structures to accommodate different sheet thicknesses.

In addition, leveling rollers can be processed into mirror rollers, patterned rollers, coated rollers, and stretching rollers according to surface requirements.
